I find it so easy to forget, to get out of the habit of posting. It’s solely because my life is so crazy busy… not through willing neglect I promise! To be fair life’s been a little swamped with business, visitors and trips, not to mention the odd personal challenge thrown in to deal with. Still, onwards and upwards eh?
Oh and my apologies to those of you who have me on a ‘feed’, for the ridiculous number of posts that appeared tonight. I imported all my old blogs (DK The Lighter Side, Enchanted Glimpses and Abandoned Shoes, all from Blogger) to this one and closed them all down. Seemed ridiculous to have so many, so all the action will be here now folks, such as it is!
So here I am updating again in the hopes that you’ll all not forget me 🙂
So to catch up briefly then amongst the many mad and varied things we’ve been up to lately, below is a slideshow of a few relevant latest pictures. We had a wonderful visit over the weekend from our dear friends Rebecca and Todd. There’s a shot of him crouched in the garden on the hottest day of the year so far! She’s the lovely head-shot surrounded by bright blue sky. Rachel, Luisa and I travelled to London Monday evening (and back, phew!) to enjoy the thrill of Rachel’s very first stageplay being performed at the Nell of Old Drury on the West End. Fantastic night, the photo is of her with the lady ‘Lucy’ who performed Rachel’s piece superbly! Insignificant Theatre was the company who rather splendidly put on the series of monologues by new writers called a ‘Speakeasy’. Another shot is to show how fabulous Luisa looks now, bathed in sunlight and smiling brightly. Then there’s a shot of Luisa and Aimee when we met up in Nottingham for me to purchase an item of clothing in a size 14 (UK) woot! I’ve lost 4 stone now you know… it’s all that Zumba! Well, that and being diabetic and controlling my diet properly of course. There’s also a splendid shot of my handsome son Tony giving my lovely daughter Lina a piggy back in the front room! My how they grow. Finally there’s a photo of myself and Rachel sat in the car after eating fish and chips by the sea. We travelled to Bridlington for the Annual Poetry Festival there, another splendid day trip out. If we look somewhat red faced and windswept, we are! It rained cats and dogs and the wind was atrocious! Still, we managed a quick walk on the beach before coming home tired and happy.
That’s all for tonight folks, it is jolly late and I have been at a Business Link Workshop all day! Marketing, how to find and keep customers… a fine workshop. Business Link really do provide a fantastic service for new businesses. It’s such a crying shame that in November their personal services, all free, will be gone. All except the incredibly useful Business Link Website that’s thankfully staying. I’d recommend it thoroughly as a service. I’ve learnt heaps from starting up, finances, marketing and such from them. Smashing!
Goodnight all, I hope life is treating you kindly.
